On request, the Pagano system can be developed to meet the Minergie standards set for each individual project. Pagano supports clients in defining performance targets and in working with the local professionals and specialists involved in certification, incorporating the necessary requirements from the design stage onward.

For years Pagano has been building in Switzerland, engaging with territories, climates and landscapes that differ greatly from one another. With Pagano SA, this journey goes one step further: a dedicated point of reference is born, designed to be closer to Swiss clients and to follow every Pagano project on site. The aim is to bring together the traits that have always defined Pagano – architecture, engineering, technology and Made in Italy production – with an organisation tailored to the demands of the Swiss market.

Shaping a home in Switzerland means meeting very high standards of quality, efficiency, durability and precision: values that are fully reflected in the way Pagano builds. This is why, from the earliest stages, every project takes into account the specific features of the site, the climate, the energy targets and the requirements that apply to it. The Pagano system can be configured to achieve high levels of energy performance and sustainability and, where the project calls for it, to follow the path towards Swiss standards and certifications such as Minergie.

In Switzerland, certain steps – from permit procedures to specific technical and design responsibilities – require the involvement of local professionals. Here too, Pagano SA stands by the client: it helps structure the project and, where needed, find and coordinate the most suitable Swiss expertise. Responsibility for the Pagano system remains with Pagano – Pagano design, engineering, production and installation – within the scope defined for each project. In this way, local professionals and Pagano’s expertise work within a single, coordinated and clearly defined process.

The system is grounded in design. Everything begins with a reading of the context: architecture and structure move forward together from the very start, as design vision and technical knowledge meet to create a coherent, fully controlled project.

Through production, the project becomes built matter. Every component is pre-engineered and the entire process is managed in-house, at our facility in Oricola. Industrial rigour and attention to detail ensure consistent quality and precise execution.

Once on site, the pre-engineered elements are assembled in a precise, coordinated sequence. Control makes assembly fast, and the process flows without interruption from production to the finished architecture.

The elements of a Pagano home

Over more than sixty years of design and construction, Pagano has developed a complete system of solutions, materials and finishes. Each project is defined starting from the architecture and the client’s wishes. The value of the system lies in integration, along a single line running from design to completion.

  • Structure and shell

    At the heart of the Pagano system is the load-bearing lattice structure in glued laminated timber, together with walls, floors and roof. Each component is conceived, engineered and made to measure for that specific project.

  • Insulation and waterproofing

    Shell build-ups, insulation materials and waterproofing solutions are defined according to the project, the expected performance and the local climate.

  • Windows and glazing

    Window frames, doors and large glazed surfaces are designed and made to measure in-house by Pagano. Dimensions, performance and construction details are developed alongside the architecture and become part of the system from the earliest design stages.

  • Building services

    From the start of the project, building services become part of the Pagano construction system. Possible solutions include heating and cooling, underfloor heating, electrical systems with advanced home automation, plumbing and controlled mechanical ventilation, each calibrated to the needs of the individual project.

  • Bathrooms

    Pagano can deliver turnkey bathrooms, integrating services, sanitaryware, flooring and finishes into the project. The choice of materials, elements and solutions is tailored to the architecture and the client’s taste.

  • Flooring

    Pagano creates indoor and outdoor floors in fine parquet, chosen in harmony with the architectural design. Wood species, tones and finishes can be adapted to the client’s choices.

  • Finishes and details

    The definition of materials, wood species, colours and details aims to create continuity between the architecture, the construction system and the interiors. Every finish can be configured and adapted to the project and to the level of customisation required.

  • Interior design

    On request, Pagano also supports clients in designing the interiors. This may include selecting furniture and design pieces or creating bespoke elements, to give life to a whole that is in harmony with the spaces and with the needs of those who live in them.

Building in Switzerland

Every Pagano project takes shape through the dialogue between design, engineering and place. In Switzerland, the Pagano system interweaves with local professionals and with the requirements specific to the context. The aim is to chart, from the very beginning, a clear and coordinated path in which each professional brings their own contribution and Pagano remains the point of reference for its own system of design, engineering and construction.

If the client already has a trusted architect, Pagano works directly alongside them, providing its team, know-how and every skill needed to integrate the architectural design into the Pagano system.

If the client does not yet have a professional of reference, Pagano helps them find the figures the project needs, drawing on the professional relationships built over the years in Switzerland.

Throughout the entire process, Pagano stays by the client’s side, facilitates dialogue between the different professionals and holds together the design, engineering, production and installation phases.
